Car-sharing vehicles can be parked in municipal parking in Kazan for free

A register of passenger cars provided to residents and visitors of the city for rent will be created in the capital of Tatarstan.

(KZN.RU, February 21). From March 1, a new service is introduced in Kazan for entrepreneurs who offer cars to citizens for car-sharing. Now cars rented on the basis of per-minute billing for individuals can be parked in parking lots for free. The decree on the introduction of a new service was signed by the Kazan Executive Committee.

In the near future, a register of parking permits for preferential placement of vehicles, which are provided for rent for a short period, will be created in the capital of Tatarstan. The cars entered in the register can be left at the municipal parking lots for any time; a driver will not be charged. It is important to note that drivers can rent cars only for personal purposes and not for business activities.

Individual entrepreneurs or legal entities must submit an application to include vehicles in the register. From March 1, you can apply to the Committee on Transport to receive the service. In the future, it is planned to provide the service in multifunctional centers and on the portal of public services.

In order to register one car for a year, you need to pay 10890 rubles for accommodation on all paid municipal parking lots located on public roads of local importance, as it was explained in the Transport Committee.

The car-sharing is a service for short-term car rental with per-minute billing. This service is very popular in large Russian cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg), as well as widespread in Europe. This popularity is explained, primarily, by the advantages of car-sharing vehicles for consumers: low cost and comfortable travel conditions, lack of gas, parking, and car maintenance costs.

“This is a very convenient service for both entrepreneurs and people who rent cars. And it is of great importance for the city. According to experts, one rented car replaces 15 personal cars, which means it reduces the load on the road network and the environment”, reports the Transport Committee.

The car entered in the register must be arranged in accordance with the requirements provided by the decree. Identification marks are necessary so that the car can be distinguished from others in the parking lot. Thus, the main color of the car can be any, and the spar of the roof and the rear wing of the vehicle should be painted in orange according to the Pantone color models 1505 C or Ral 2008.
