Pavel Kogan, the artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra, will speak about cultural volunteering.
(KZN.RU, October 3). The Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra will perform in Kazan. Pavel Kogan, the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, will meet with students of the Kazan College of Music named after I. Aukhadeev in the framework of the tour to share his professional secrets and discuss one of the topical themes of 2018: cultural volunteering.
The performance of the orchestra in the capital of Tatarstan is planned as part of a tour in Russia, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the collective. For 34 days, the orchestra will give 20 concerts in Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Naberezhnye Chelny, Izhevsk, Tver, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, and other cities of the country. The orchestra will present two concert programs. The first consists of works by Beethoven and Brahms. The second is devoted to Russian music: it will include works by Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Rubinstein.
In addition to the concert, Kazan residents will meet with Pavel Kogan, the artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra, People’s Artist of Russia. As a public ambassador for the Year of the Volunteer, he will talk about volunteering.
Kogan’s conductor debut took place in 1972 with the USSR State Academic Symphony Orchestra. Later, the maestro performed on all five continents with the best orchestras of the world.
The meeting with Pavel Kogan will take place on October 5 at 10 am in the hall of the Aukhadeev College.
