A personal scholarship of Professor Davyd Mendelevich will be awarded for the first time In Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, February 15). On February 16 in Kazan, a personal scholarship of Professor Davyd Mendelevich will be given for the first time. The ceremony will take place on the birthday of the researcher. </p> <p> </p> <p> The nominees for the award were graduate students and residents of the Kazan State Medical University, where Davyd Mendelevich, an Honored Worker of Science and an Honored Doctor of Tatarstan, the head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, worked once. The best ones will be awarded for special successes in studies and scientific work. </p> <p> </p> <p> As part of the award ceremony, there will also be a grand opening of the lecture hall named after the professor. Yuri Alexandrovsky, a professor, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ph. D. of Medical Sciences, will give a lecture there. </p> <p> </p> <p> The scholarship was initiated by the sons of the professor: Boris Mendelevich, a State Duma deputy, and Vladimir Mendelevich, the head of the Department of Medical Psychology of the KSMU, the expert of the World Health Organization. The scholarship will give graduate students and residents the opportunity to develop their skills and become bright representatives of their profession, reports the KSMU officials. </p> <p> </p> <p> For reference </p> <p> </p> <p> Davyd Mendelevich devoted more than 60 years of his life to psychiatry. He wrote about 230 scientific papers, including 7 monographs and educational manuals. 4 doctoral and 17 master's theses were presented under his supervision. </p>
