433 volunteers help lonely senior citizens of Kazan.
Volunteers continue to help elderly citizens living alone in Kazan. Since March 23, volunteers have delivered food and medicine to 430 senior citizens. In total, 433 people are involved in the volunteer group.
Activists work in two shifts every day. They help not only citizens over 65 years, but also people with immune compromised and chronic diseases that are at risk for complications from coronavirus.
For information, hotlines are organized for the delivery of food and medicine to elderly and disabled people living alone in the capital of Tatarstan.
Presently, 433 people work in the volunteer service, but the recruitment of volunteers continues – Kazan citizens over 18 years old can, without respiratory diseases, can join this service.
Earlier, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin made an appeal to citizens, willing to help senior citizens, to join volunteering.
