The consumption and sale of alcohol will be limited in Kazan during the World Cup

The sale is prohibited in providing catering services as well.

(KZN.RU, June 14). Enhanced security measures are being introduced in Kazan due to the holding of the FIFA World Cup. In particular, the capital of Tatarstan introduces a restriction on the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers “On the restrictions of retail sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the FIFA World Cup-2018 in the boundaries of designated territories”, measures are introduced to ensure the safety of sporting events.

Among other things, the measures concern the provision of services at public catering points.

The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages contained in glass bottles will be banned on June 15, 16, 19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, and 30 and July 5 and 6 this year in the following territories:

On Amirkhan Prospect fr om S. Khakim Street to Chistopolskaya Street, along Chistopolskaya Street to Adoratsky Street, along Adoratsky Street to Lavrentiev Street, along Lavrentiev Street to Gavrilov Street, №10, further along the border of bypass bridge of the 3rd transport dam (with the coverage of the Megastroy store) to Troitsky Les Street, along Troitsky Les Street, further along the edge of the water area of the Kazanka River to Amirkhan Prospect.

On Pushkin Street to the Kazanka River, then along the edge of the water area of the embankment to Said-Galeev Street, along Said-Galeev Street with the Kazan-1 Railway Station along Narimanov Street to G. Kamal Street, G. Kamal Street to G. Tukay Street, on G. Tukay Street to Tatarstan Street, on Tatarstan Street to Salimzhanov Street, on Salimzhanov Street to Minnullin Street, on Minnullin Street to Tikhomirnov Street, on the Tikhomirnov Street to Pushkin Street.

Also, the sale and drinking of alcoholic beverages will be banned from June 14 to July 15, except June 29, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12 and July 13, in the following territories:

Khakima Street to Meridiannaya Street, along Meridiannaya Street to Chistopolskaya Street, along Chistopolskaya Street to Dekabristov Street.

Enhanced security measures were introduced since May 25in Kazan and other subjects of the country wh ere the FIFA World Cup 2018 is held. They will last until July 25 this year.

The World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018, in 11 Russian cities. Kazan will host six matches of the group stage, 1/8 and 1/4 of the finals.
