The registration for the Night Cycle Fest started in Kazan

Participants will have a tour through the city, competition, food, and music program.

(KZN.RU, July 15, Ksenia Shvetsova). On the night of July 20-21, an annual Night Cycle Fest will take place in Kazan. Its participants will be able to join an unusual competition and learn exciting facts about the city. Anyone can join the bicycle fest; the registration for participation is already open and will last until 10 pm on July 20. Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, announced it at the Business Monday today.

This year, on the eve of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019, the cycle fest route will pass through the facilities of the Sovetsky district related to the working professions.

The gathering of participants will begin at 9 pm near the stadium “Kazan Arena” in sector “C”. It is planned to make 5 stops along the route: near the Compressor Plant, the stadium “Raketa”, on the market square near the KOMZ, near the Veterinary Academy, and the Cooperative Institute.

Traditionally, the broadcast of the ride will be held on “BIM-radio”. At each stop, the participants of the cycle fest will be able to listen to the stories recorded by famous speakers. Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, Damir Fattakhov, the minister of Youth of the RT, Alsu Nabieva, the rector of the Kazan Cooperative Institute, Roman Fatkhutdinov, the head of the Sovetsky district, and others are among them. “All this will allow the participants of the event not only to enjoy the night views of the summer city, but also to learn interesting facts about significant places of the capital of the republic”, said D. Sannikova.

The program of the Night Cycle Fest includes a food court and a hot DJ set. And the feature of this year will be the contest “The Brightest Participant of the Fest”. To join the contest, you need to register on the festival website, decorate yourself and your bike with various light elements, come to the bicycle fest, take a photo and put it on Instagram with the mark @gokazan.ru and the hashtag #ночнойвелофест2019. The results of the competition will be announced on July 21 at 9 pm; the winners will receive prizes from partners of the event.

“We expect a large number of participants from cities of Russia and foreign countries”, said the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee.

It is essential not only to hold a nightlife fest at the highest level, but also to take care of the comfort of the residents and guests of the city who do not take part in it, noted Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee. He reminded that the traffic would be restricted partially in the capital of Tatarstan during the event. “This is a rather difficult event to organize; we are coordinating routes with the traffic police of the city, accompanying the participants along the way for their safety”, said D. Kalinkin. “But we must not forget the interests of the whole city. The route must be published in advance so that everyone knows about the blocking of the roads and can adjust their routes in advance”.

Last year, the Night Cycle Fest was held in Kazan on October 13 and gathered about a thousand participants. They rode through the hospitality places of Kazan: through the entrance gates of the city, the River Port and the Railway Station, the central parks and squares of the city, museums, restaurants, and other significant objects. The length of the route was 30 km.
