Sergey Ivanov conducted the first excursion “Echo of the World cup”.
(KZN.RU, August 3, Ksenia Shvetsova). The project “Oh, my guide!” of the tourist brand “Visit Tatarstan” started in Kazan today. Until the end of October, well-known residents of Tatarstan, cultural, sport, art and politics figures will conduct free themed excursions for all comers in the framework of this project. The first was the tour “Echo of the World Cup“. Sergey Ivanov, the chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the RT, told about the legacy left in the capital of Tatarstan after the World Cup-2018. The participants visited all the important places connected with the championship, saw the locker rooms of the players and sat in the same chairs where Ronaldo, Messi, Neimar, and many others famous sportsmen have sat.
The excursion “Echo of the World Cup” opened a whole tourist cycle. It was attended by 45 people: journalists, as well as about 30 citizens. The acquaintance with the heritage of the World Cup started fr om the hotel “Ramada”, where football players of national teams stayed. There, the residents saw public arts, which became famous throughout the world: the images of Ronaldo, Messi, and Luka Modric, painted on the buildings adjacent to the hotel. Then the participants of the tour visited the hotel “Mirage” where football players also lived. In particular, Neimar lived there, whose image adorns the wall of the building opposite the hotel.
The most interesting part of the excursion is a visit to the stadium “Kazan-Arena”. It is a unique opportunity to see the stadium in such an unusual way: without noisy fans, players and coaches. Sergey Ivanov told several interesting facts. For example, that to build the stadium, about 130 thousand metal structures were used, their weight is equal to 65 planes, as well as 130 thousand square meters of pavers, 6 thousand km of concrete.
The participants of the tour were able to sit in the seats of the VIP-zone in the stands of the stadium, visited the conference hall, as well as the players' locker rooms. This was a real gift for true fans of famous football players. They sit in chairs, in which Ronaldo, Neimar, Messi, Igor Akinfeev, and others sat.
“Each city is proud of its history and the events that took place there. And we are no exception. The championship is a historical event for the republic and our city. Our task is that it become a specific product”, explains S. Ivanov.
The final point of the excursion “Echo of the World Cup” is the Tukay Square, at the beginning of the Bauman Street, where the wolf Zabivaka is installed.
Launching the project “Oh, my guide!”, the excursion “Echo of the World Cup” will become an independent tourist product. Everyone will be able to participate in it. The tour will be paid, on average, it will cost 500-600 rubles.
The project with the involvement of well-known guides will continue until about the end of October, new excursions will be held regularly. Dilbar Sadykova, a representative of “Visit Tatarstan”, told that each of them will be devoted to a certain topic. For example, “parks and squares”, “industrial direction”, and others. Moreover, excursions will be held not only in Kazan, but also in other cities of the republic: Sviyazhsk, Bulgar, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yelabuga.
“The project is planned for October for now, but we will proceed according to the weather conditions. Part of the route is for walking, so we will adjust to the conditions”, said Dilbar Sadykova. “Our main task is to attract local residents. The guests often come to us, and many citizens cannot tell wh ere they can go, what kind of buildings there are in the city. The goal is to dedicate all residents to the hospitality sphere”.
“The project got my interest immediately because it is made for city residents”, Aigul Davletshina, a resident of Kazan and a participant of the excursion, shared her impressions. “I really love Kazan, and people around me are all delighted with our city. But at the same time, not everyone knows the information about the sights, historical facts, interesting places. Everything is so beautiful, and when tourists come, you ask yourself what to show them. Therefore, I think that the project has a very great future, because people are interested. I learned a lot today, I really liked it”.
All excursions in the framework of the project “Oh, my guide!” are free. You can find information in the accounts of the brand “Visit Tatarstan”.
