Competition has started to fill the position of the Chief Architect of Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, July 22, Ksenia Shvetsova). Today in Kazan the competition has started to fill the position of the Chief Architect. The information about the conditions of participation in selection and qualifying requirements is available on the official portal KZN.RU in the special section. The requests to take part in it can be submitted till August 15, the head of the Personnel Policy Department of the Kazan Executive Committee, Gulnara Musina, the head of the Personnel Policy Department of the Kazan Executive Committee, announced that today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> During the first stage the candidates are offered to send portfolio and fill in online-questionnaire. Participants will have to describe their professional and social experience, as well as to share urban and architectural development visions of the city. </p> <p> Each participant should present document pack to the Personnel Policy Department and go through a process of reassessment of professionally important abilities. As well the candidates will be offered a particular territory development case. On final stage the participants of the contest will present their ideas to expert council. </p> <p> The Chief Architect of Kazan is one of the key figures of the city, as the city development depends on high-qualification, professionalism and creativity of a person, as Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, noted. “We aspire to find the specialist who will be able to make the best decisions from the standpoint of Kazan development and citizens' well-being, – he said. – On the one hand, the Chief Architect should think creatively, to solve difficult architectural and urban development tasks, and, on the other hand, he must be a professional manager. A person should be able to say «no» where the city's interests are infringed». </p> <p> Besides high-qualification and creativity the Chief Architect of Kazan should possess important personal qualities, as D.Kalinkin added. «There is one quality which is impossible to be prescribed by the regulation of the Labour Code. It is sincere need to do something important for citizens and Kazan. That's just as valuable, maybe more, as professional skills. We will necessarily meet with all contenders, to learn their visions, competence and sights.
