The launch of the Dairy Production Plant took place in Kazan

(KZN.RU, July 2). The symbolic launch of production of the Kazan Dairy Plant took place in the capital of Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ivan Lebedev, the deputy minister of Agriculture of Russia, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others attended the ceremony.

Before the ceremony, the official guests got acquainted with the work of the workshops and inspected the modern equipment installed at the plant. They visited the hardware workshop, the packaging workshop, the production of dairy products, where the starter process takes place for the production of kefir, katyk, ryazhenka, and other products.

Then the guests visited the site where the milk production line in PET bottles is located. They tasted ice cream, which is produced at the Kazan Dairy Plant.

On the stage in the yard, the visitors were shown a film about the history of the plant and the modernization that had taken place.

The Kazan Dairy Plant is one of the oldest enterprises in the city, which was founded in 1932, noted R. Minnikhanov. “I have been here more than once in few years”, he said. “And I see the company changes. There was a time when it turned out to be down; and now an investor appeared in 2017, the company “Komos Group”. Today it is our strategic partner; we see that the investor is focused on high results”. The company is implementing other projects in the republic related to poultry farming and pig breeding, added the President of the RT. He also reminded that everything done at the enterprise is only the first stage of modernization.

The President of the RT emphasized that the enterprise today already exports its products, and also supplies to 70 regions of the country. “We see that they make high-quality products here”, said R. Minnikhanov. “And this means that the population of the region will consume high-quality dairy products. I am certain that we have enough milk and production facilities in the republic to provide the population with high-quality products”.

The Kazan Dairy Plant has many interesting ideas. In particular, the idea of producing milk for schoolchildren in the framework of the School Milk program, said the President of the RT and added that the republic would assist the enterprise.

The President of the RT also presented several awards of the RT to the most distinguished specialists of “Komos Group”.

Ivan Lebedev, the deputy minister of Agriculture of Russia, said that the new production of the Kazan Dairy Plant is a vivid example of how the state support works today. According to him, the dairy industry is an absolute priority in terms of providing state support. “According to the doctrine of food security, we still have some shortage of milk production in the amount of 5-6 million tons”, said I. Lebedev. “But you see that this year, the price is stable for the first time, there is no volatility”. In addition, the department has a strict policy on the use of palm fats, introduced the system “Mercury”, he added.

“You are a clear company, working on real raw materials”, said I. Lebedev addressing representatives of “Komos Group”. “You use all the possibilities and already deliver products for export to China. I wish you prosperity”.

At the end of the ceremony, everyone tasted the products of the Kazan Dairy Plant. It is produced under various trademarks, and the product line contains milk, milkshakes, ice cream, and fermented milk products.

The Kazan Dairy Plant was bought by the Company “Komos Group” (Udmurtia) in 2017, reminds the press service of the President of the RT. In the same year, the Company began to implement an investment project on modernization, which is scheduled to be held in 3 stages (2017–2021), with a total investment of 3.5 billion rubles. Investments in the first phase amounted to 1.6 billion rubles. Financing of the project is carried out both at the expense of funds of OOO “Kazan Dairy Plant” and at the expense of credit organizations (“Gazprombank” and “Rosselkhozbank”).
