The traffic lights with buttons for pedestrians and additional sidewalks will be equipped on the site from Orenburgsky Proyezd to house No.90.
In the Privolzhsky district of Kazan, additional sidewalks and traffic lights will be installed along Rauisa Gareeva Street. Currently, repair works are being carried out on the 1.4 km long section from Orenburgsky Proyezd to house No.90 under the Safe and Quality Roads national project. Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city, got acquainted with the progress of the work.
The work has already been carried out on milling the worn-out pavement, installation of the leveling layer of asphalt and side stones. In the near future, sidewalks with a total area of 3,200 sq. m will be completely repaired here, and the top layer of the road will be surfaced. After that, the specialists will begin installing 120 road signs, about 300 meters of pedestrian fences and will paint road markings. In addition, three bus stop shelters and traffic lights will be installed here.
“There will be traffic lights with push buttons for pedestrians and additional sidewalks”, - Igor Kulyazhev said.
In addition to Rauisa Gareeva Street, repair work is planned at 10 more road sections under the Safe and Quality Roads national project this year.
“The funding in the amount of 14.3 billion rubles has been allocated for road works in Kazan this year. About 8 billion of them are allocated for the construction of the Voznesensky tract, the Big Kazan Ring road and the section of the relief road at the Gorkovsky highway. 4 billion rubles will be spent for the repair of the road network, including under the Safe and Quality Roads program. 2.3 billion rubles – for work under the Our Yard program”, – he said.
Special attention will be paid to the road safety. This year, 11 km of fences, 300 road signs and 1100 energy-saving lamps will be installed in Kazan. In addition, road markings will be painted on an area of 369 thousand sq. m.
