Kazan will host a meeting of the Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan

Key regional participants will meet in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan on September 29

The fifth meeting of the Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan will take place in Kazan on September 29, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at the Eastern Economic Forum.

Key stakeholders in the negotiations will attend the meeting in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. The Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan involves the participation of Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The participants will discuss the current developments in Afghanistan, issues of inter-Afghan reconciliation, regional security and reconstruction of the country.
