9 transparent sculptures in human growth with a luminous red spine will be installed in the Gorky Park.
(KZN.RU, April 18). The exhibition “The Disease of Young, or Life with Pain” will open on April 19 in the Gorky Park in Kazan. 9 transparent sculptures in human growth with a luminous red spine will be installed in the park. Behind their every move and pose, there are hundreds of thousands of stories of people with Bekhterev's disease since the most common symptom of this severe disease is back pain.
The organizers of the exhibition note that many people live with constant pain in the back, without giving it much importance. Thereby they expose themselves to the danger of developing irreversible consequences. The exhibition encourages people to pay attention to their health and to see a doctor in time.
Most often the Bekhterev's disease first appears at the age of 25-35 years. If the patient is not diagnosed on time, then the disease can lead to serious consequences in a few years. 50% of the sick become disabled, 30% lose their ability to work, and 10% will be in need of prosthetics. But this situation can be changed if as many people as possible get to know about this disease and its first symptoms and turn to a doctor in time.
The exhibition of light sculptures “Disease of the Young, or Life with Pain” is held on the initiative of the Interregional Public Charitable Organization of the Disabled “Society for Mutual Assistance with Bekhterev's disease”, with the support of the All-Russian Public Association “Association of Rheumatologists of Russia”, and sponsors.
The exhibition will last until May 2, reports the press service of the Society for Mutual Assistance with Bekhterev's disease.
