The Derzhavin Poetry Festival will be held in Kazan

The event is timed to the 275th birth anniversary of the great Russian poet.

(KZN.RU, July 11). The All-Russian Festival of Poetry will be on July 14, dedicated to the 275th birth anniversary of the great Russian poet and outstanding statesman Gavrila Derzhavin.

The Derzhavin Poetry Festival will begin on July 14 at 10 am with the solemn laying of flowers at the monument to the poet in the Lyadskoy Garden. The leaders of Tatarstan, members of the Union of Writers of the RT, poets, teachers, guests of the festival and the literary and cultural community will attend the event. Poets of our time will take part in the imposition of the “poetic wreath to G. Derzhavin from contemporary poets”. Every poet could read G. Derzhavin's work or his own poems.

At 1 pm, the holiday will continue in Laishevo on the square in front of the monument to G. Derzhavin, reports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the RT.
