The 36th All-Russian festival of student small theaters “Ikariada-2018” will be held in Kazan

This year the festival date is timed to the 60th anniversary of the student club of the KNRTU-KAI.

(KZN.RU, December 4). From 6 to 9 of December, the All-Russian festival of student small theaters “Ikariada-2018” in memory of People's Artist of the USSR Arkady Raikin will take place in the CLC Lenin (Kopylov Street, №2a). Comedy, romantic and tragic miniatures, a new interpretation of the classics and original performances, dances, and artistic readings await the audience.

The festival will be attended by 12 groups from different parts of Russia: the KAI miniature theater, the student theater “P. S.”, the STEM “Uukus Solntsa” (Kazan), the “Theater on Stromynka”, Le Defi Theater, the DTP Studio (Moscow), the “Theater+EM” (Sterlitamak), “Perpetuum-Mobile” (Saratov), STEM “Atas” (Volgograd), “A parte” (Ufa), the Theater “Avatsiya-Etty Deti” (Krasnoyarsk), the theater-studio “Otdykhai” (Khanty-Mansiysk).

For three days of competition, groups will compete for the grand prix of the festival, as well as prizes in the nominations for the best director's work, set design, original miniatures and acting work. In addition, a special award will be given for the best performance in the eccentric genre. A People Choice award and the Arkady Raikin prize are also provided. The festival will end with a gala concert on December 9. The audience will see a surprise concert for the graduates of the KAI study club.

The festival's jury included famous directors, choreographers, and actors: Semyon Kaminsky, a satirist and songwriter, Alexander Feldman, a director and actor, Irek Ibatullin, an actor and director of the Unison Theater, Yuri Kimlach, a representative of the Culture Support Fund named after A. Raikin, Elena Nenasheva, an Honored Artist of the RT, a people's artist of the RT, Vladimir Churkin, the director of the festival.

I part – “Perpetuum-Mobile” (Saratov), STEM "Atas" (Volgograd);

II part – “Theater on Stromynka” (Moscow), “A parte” (Ufa).

December 8 at 5 pm

I part – DTP studio (Moscow), STEM “Ukus Solntsa” (Kazan), Theater “Avataiya-Etty Deti” (Krasnoyarsk);

II part – the theater “Le Defi” (Moscow), the theater-studio “Otdykhai” (Khanty-Mansiysk).

December 9 at 5 pm
