The VII Republican Iftar took place in Kazan

(KZN.RU, May 25). Today the VII Republican Iftar was held at the stadium “Kazan Arena”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Vladimir Samoilenko, Secretary of the Kazan Diocese, and representatives of republican municipalities took part in it, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

In the conversation with media representatives, Rustam Minnikhanov noted: “Our prayers, appeals to the Almighty are dedicated to ensuring peace and harmony in Russia. To our country to be strengthened, and our republic to flourish. Today, our friends, representatives of various faiths are with us. Together, we are a united team for the benefit of a strong Russia”, said the President of the RT.

The Republican Iftar has been held in Tatarstan since 2013. This year, 15000 Muslims from cities of the republic, Russia and neighboring countries were invited to the Iftar.
