Kazan hosts the Russian Venture Forum

(KZN.RU, April 11). The Russian Venture Forum has opened in Kazan at the international exhibition center “Kazan Expo”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Rustam Nigmatullin, the first deputy prime minister of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, heads of republican ministries and departments attended the opening ceremony.

The Head of the Republic noted at the opening that the Russian Venture Forum is an excellent platform for developers to meet with potential investors.

The fair of venture projects was organized as part of the Russian Venture Forum. More than 200 projects were presented for participation in the fair, 50 of them are located at the “Kazan Expo”. Only 15 projects will reach the final. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, foreign partners are taking part in the venture fair.

It was noted that the Russian Venture Forum has been held in Tatarstan for 14 years in a row. The exhibition of innovative ideas is evidence that there is an intellectual growth in the regions of Russia, as well as throughout the world, and the government and business are interested in the further development and expansion of the scientific and technical potential.

After the welcoming words, the honored guests got acquainted with the exposition. Projects of the innovation infrastructure of the RT were also presented, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

Also, a plenary session of the Russian Venture Forum was held today on the topic “Venture Market of Russia: A Look into the Future”.

The Russian Venture Forum is the largest international platform for discussions and negotiations, a meeting place for Russian and foreign participants in the venture capital industry. According to experts, the forum is a unique platform for those who are looking for new partners and customers, who know how to lay the foundation for future business development, for those who are looking for an opportunity to become a co-investor with leading industry experts, for those who find out the first promising industries for investing.

Participant of the Russian Venture Forum-2019 were three thousand delegates from 9 countries of the world: the USA, China, France, Japan, and others. Applications for participation in the innovative exposition of the fair were submitted by companies from 37 cities of 7 countries. According to the organizers, the most popular areas are IT-platforms, finance technology.

Andrey Travnikov, the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Ivan Bortnik, an advisor to the CEO of the Innovation Support Fund, Xavier Echari, the CEO of the European Network of Business Innovation Centers, Albina Nikkonen, the executive director of the Russian Venture Capital Association, and others took part in the forum as honorary guests.

The forum will focus on such issues as the role of universities as suppliers of scientific and staff competencies, corporate innovations, investment opportunities in foreign markets, individual private investors as part of the global venture community, and others.

In 2018, 542 projects from 24 countries were registered to participate in the Russian Venture Forum. Since 2000, 1120 speakers, 18 thousand participants from 70 cities of Russia and more than 30 countries of the world took part in the forum.
