The cleaning of rivers, lakes and canals waters from debris is carried out in Kazan

Experts of the “Gorvodzelenhoz” have already cleared the Kaban Lake, Bulak and Kazanka embankment.

The collecting of garbage from reservoirs (rivers, lakes, canals) is traditionally held in Kazan within the spring two-month period for the sanitary cleaning and improvement of the city. Today, the experts of the MUP “Trust Gorvodzelenkhoz” clean up the Kazanka River from debris in the area adjacent to the Kremlevskaya Embankment. All water bodies of the capital of Tatarstan are planned to be cleared within 20 days.

Radik Sattarov, the head engineer of Gorvodzelenhoz responsible for cleaning the Kazan water areas, said that today it is planned to clear the water area along the Kremlevskaya Embankment to the NCC “Kazan”. 10 people, 2 boats, a KAMAZ vehicle and a KSB mobile crane, which picks up and lifts debris from the water, are involved in the work.

“For one day, almost full one KAMAZ truck with garbage is collected from each water area. Usually it is bottles, plastic, foam, logs, many packages. Over the entire period of seasonal clearance, we collect about 13 KAMAZ trucks”, explained R. Sattarov.

Yesterday, workers cleaned in the waters of Lake Kaban and the channels of Bulak, tomorrow they will work on the waters of the beach “Lokomotiv”.

The spring two-month period for sanitary cleaning and improvement of the city has started on April 1 and will last until May 31. During this time, citizens will be able to participate in actions to clean parks, squares, yards and other public spaces, and on April 20 to join the citywide subbotnik.

In total, more than 80 places of mass exit of the population for cleaning will be organized. Moreover, the traditional format of the subbotnik was planned in some territories, and in other areas in the form of a quest and eco-run. Everyone will be able to join cleaning the city for the May holidays.

Events of the spring two-month period are held annually in order to clear the city of debris and dirt accumulated over the winter and prepare it for the summer season. The main part of the work is carried out by contractors working in the field of housing and communal services and landscaping. These are various housing management companies and municipal road enterprises. Traditionally, priority remains to clean urban public spaces, forests and coastal zones.
