The best of 2000 drivers and 1500 conductors will present the capital of the RT at the All-Russian competition.
(KZN.RU, October 18, Alena Miroshnichenko). Today drivers and conductors of passenger transport are fighting for the title of the best in their industry. Open competitions in professional skills were held for them at the site in front of the stadium “Kazan Arena” on the eve of the Day of Workers of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport.
The best representatives of the motor transport enterprises of Kazan in the composition of 10 teams competed among themselves in the all-around. Thus, bus drivers showed themselves in such tests as a “slalom”, an elktest, braking, box, knowledge of traffic rules, and more. The conductors demonstrated knowledge of cash handling, passenger service, polite behavior, and variations in behavior in different situations. The main nominations for which the workers of the transport sphere fought were: “The Best Driver”, “The Best Conductor”, and “The Best Enterprise”. The winners of the city level competitions for the third year are sent to present the capital of Tatarstan to the All-Russian competition of professional skills of drivers and conductors. Competitions have been held in Kazan annually since 2006.
According to Aidar Abdulkhakov, the chairman of the Kazan Committee for Transport, the total number of participants in the competition is more than 2000 drivers and more than 1500 conductors who work in the transport industry of the city. “The best representatives of enterprises of this sphere gathered here, specially selected for the competition, Of course, every such competition, every holiday helps to increase the mood of the participants themselves. And they increase the mood of residents, public transport passengers. Drivers and conductors interact directly with people. Such contests are very important for increasing the culture of passenger service and popularizing these professions”, he said.
Welcoming the participants of the competition, Ildar Shakirov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, marked that it was impossible not to notice the high rate in which the Kazan transport complex was developing. “I mean not only a large number of new and high-quality roads, but also your work. The work of the driver requires not only composure and care. This selfless work, when a driver on 12-meter vehicle maneuvers around the city, carrying up to 100 passengers, it seems to me, it requires talent”, he said addressing public transport workers.
Yuri Danilov, the chairman of the Tatar Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Automobile Transport and Road Workers, also congratulated the participants on the upcoming holiday. He wished the participants to identify the strongest.
Many drivers and conductors participating in this professional all-around demonstrate their skills at competitions not for the first time. Andrey Mitrofanov, the driver of the MUP PATP №2, is at city competitions for the sixth time. He has been working at the enterprise for the tenth year, and last year he won first place among drivers at a professional competition. Together with the team, they are leaving for the professional all-around of the All-Russian level for the second time.
A test on traffic rules was held nearby the site in front of the “Kazan Arena”, and conductors were waiting for their tests. Many teams came with support groups that supported the competitive spirit and motivated the participants.
During the break, Olga Ashirova, a conductor of the route №43 of the OOO “Bailyk No. 3”, told that she has been working at the company for 3 years already. For the second time, she participates in the competition of professional skills. Among the main difficulties of her profession, she named not an early rise, a long working day and fatigue, but work with passengers. “The most difficult thing is working with passengers. Different people come across. But I like my job, so it keeps me steady. I like serving people. If people treat you well, with a smile, you want to respond the same way”, she said.
The improving work in the field of public transport is carried out in all directions. The transport structure itself, its external and internal appearance, and technical capabilities are being improved. “Every year we update the rolling stock. This year alone, 350 new buses arrived in Kazan on the days of the FIFA World Cup, 104 of which run on gas engine fuel and are still pending. These are modern buses that meet all modern requirements. They are equipped with modern facilities and amenities. Those that worked 8-10 years are now canceled. This is also an improvement, an increase in the quality of service. It is important to note the work we are doing to improve the appearance, cleanliness of salons, sanitary conditions, the appearance of drivers and conductors, their uniforms, and the notification of passengers about the stops in automatic mode. All this work on the realization of one goal”, concluded Aidar Abdulkhakov.
