Applications for participation in the “Flower Festival” are being accepted in Kazan

This year, the competition site will once again unfold in front of the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”.

(KZN.RU, April 11). Kazan is accepting applications for participation in the “Flower Festival”. The theme of this year’s competition is the bright colors of summer. The corresponding decree was signed by the Executive Committee.

This year, the “Flower Festival” will once again unfold in front of the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”, at the intersection of Petersburgskaya and Sukonnaya streets. In total, six nominations were organized for the participants: “Vertical Compositions”, “Flower Arrangements of Potted Plants”, “Volumetric Compositions”, “Flower Waltz”, “Small Garden”, and “People Choice”. Professional teams of all forms of ownership and individuals working in the field of designing and implementing landscape design objects can create their own floral composition.

Until May 15, you have to submit an application to the External Improvement Committee at the address: Kazan, Teatralnaya Street, №13. The application must be accompanied by a draft design, specify the materials used to create the landscape exposition. The draft design must be in a format of paper A4 and electronic media. In addition, it must comply with the theme of the competition, the chosen nomination and be agreed by the city commission. Next, the participants will have to choose a plot of at least 100 square meters for the implementation of the developed draft design on the competition site. Your site can be designed using geoplastic, lawns, flower beds, decorative paving, retaining walls, lamps, decorative compositions, small architectural forms, and other elements and materials.

Projects agreed upon by the city commission are being implemented at the competition site, and the planting and other materials used in their creation are not refundable.

At the next stage from May 15 to June 10, the participants present commissions with finished expositions. The opening of the site will take place on June 24, and it is planned to last until October 1.

The assessment of the work will be by the originality of the idea, the ability to work with plants as a living decorative material, the use of modern technology and ease of maintenance.

Last year, the total area of the city’s flower gardens was 58 thousand square meters. These are 12 thousand floral elements (pots, flowerpots), 13 original volumetric flower compositions created especially on the eve of the World Cup. In total, 352 applications were submitted to the competition, 10957 people gave their votes for the works they liked.
