A Tubetei Tower may appear in Kazan

The location near the stadium “Kazan Arena” may become the location of the new tourist site.

(KZN.RU, February 26, Alina Berezhnaya). A Tubetei Tower may appear in Kazan. A new tourist site is planned to be built near the stadium “Kazan Arena”. The project is under development. Taliya Minullina, the head of the Agency for Investment Development of the RT, announced this today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT.

The Tubetei Tower will be a tall building in the form of a Tatar national headdress. According to T. Minullina, this object will become a new point of attraction for tourists. The building will house various souvenir shops and catering establishments. The highlight of the project will be an observation deck of 120 square meters. The height of the tyubeteyka is still unknown, the project is under multiple coordination with the architects and the city administration. The building will be erected at the expense of investors, the amount of investments will be 350 million rubles.

“Today there are no watchtowers in Kazan, and these tourist sites are popular all over the world. We are now looking for a place where the tower would fit perfectly and considering an option near the “Kazan Arena”. The height of the object is still unknown, because there are certain difficulties. The Kazan Kremlin imposes certain restrictions, we cannot erect objects higher than it. There is also an architectural concept of the city and this tower must meet it”, T. Minullina told reporters.
