115 kilometers of roads have been renovated in Kazan

<p> Since 2011, 18,101,000 sq.m. of roads have been renovated in Kazan. Over the past year, roads with a total area of 1,300,000 sq.m. were renovated in the capital of Tatarstan. This was reported to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin by the chair of the Land Improvement Committee Igor Salyakhutdinov at the annual report on the results of work. Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, also took part in the meeting. </p> <p> In total, 167 city and village roads with a total length of 115 kilometers were renovated last year, including 11 sections of roads (along R.Gareev str., Marshal Chuikov str., Magistralnaya str. and others) were updated under the Safe and Quality Roads national project. </p> <p> Along with the annual maintenance work, the issues of road infrastructure development are being resolved. In 2021, three new sections of highways were built. Among them are the sections of the Great Kazan Ring from Boriskovskaya str. to Tekhnicheskaya str., Tikhoretskaya str. from Tekhnicheskaya str. to Magistralnaya str. and a U-turn loop along the Orenburgsky tract. </p> <p> In 2021, a large-scale project was launched- the construction of the first stage of the Voznesensky Tract on the section from Gvardeyskaya str. to Pobedy Avenue with a length of almost 4 km. Construction of the first section of the Voznesensky Tract began last summer. According to the project, it will be a road almost 4 km long from Gvardeyskaya str. to Pobedy Avenue and 13-17 meters wide with three lanes in each direction. The project provides for the creation of bike paths, storm drains, while the width of sidewalks will be 2.2-4.5 m. During the preparatory work, the builders paved bypass roads on Pobedy Ave. with a length of 1.2 km and on Gvardeyskaya str. with a length of 890 m, along which traffic is now organized. </p> <p> During the report, the chair of the committee informed the Mayor about the plans for 2022. Among them are the continuation of the Safe and Quality Roads program, the renovation of the road network, the construction and reconstruction of the section of the Big Kazan Ring road on Mekhovshchikov Street, Osinovskaya Street, as well as the continuation of the Our Yard project. </p>
