The winners of the city tournament “Golden Puck” are determined in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, February 14). The city stage of the All-Russian competition “Golden Puck” named after A. Tarasov was completed in Kazan. The tournament united 35 teams that showed the best results at the regional stage: 24 ones in the “Yard Sport” division and 11 ones in the “Sport” division. The best teams in each age category represent the city at the start of the republican stage of the competition. </p> <p> </p> <p> This year, the tournament “Golden Puck” gathered a record number of participants in Kazan. About 2000 young athletes played for 100 teams in three age groups: 2008–2009, 2006–2007, and 2004–2005. </p> <p> </p> <p> For example, the first places in the “Sport” division and the right to enter the republican stage were taken by the teams “Smena” in the older group, “Zilant” in the middle group, and “Ak Bure” in the younger group. </p> <p> </p> <p> In the “Yard Sport” division, the winners were the team “Volna” of the Sovetsky district in the senior group, the team “Desyatochka” of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts in the middle group, and the team “Romantic” from the school №143 of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts in the youngest group. </p> <p> </p> <p> The All-Russian competition of young hockey players for the prizes of the club “Golden Puck” named after A. Tarasov is an annual hockey tournament. Teams are formed on the basis of secondary schools, yard teams, teen clubs, and teams of youth sports schools. Last year, the competition gathered 1760 participants from 88 Kazan teams, reports the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports. </p>
