The names of the laureates of the State Award named after G. Tukay were announced in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, April 26). Today, on the Day of Mother Language, laureates of the State Award of the RT named after G. Tukay were announced. The awarding ceremony was held at the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil. </p> <p> </p> <p> The award was given to Kamil Karimov, the author of the books “Karurmanda kara pesi: povestlar һem hikeyaklar” (Tat. “Black cat in the dense forest: stories”) and “Igezekler yoldyzlygy: romanar” (Tat. “Constellation of twins: novels”). Artist Mikhail Kuznetsov received a prize for a series of works “White canvases. Peoples of the Volga region”, and the creative group “Tattelecom” in the person of Lutfulla Shafigullin and Rustam Zakuanov – for the implementation of significant projects in the field of culture. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, congratulated the winners. </p> <p> </p> <p> Speaking before the audience, he urged everyone to put every effort into preserving the native language. “We are very concerned about the issues of our native language”, he said. “We must preserve our native language, culture, heritage, which was passed on from generation to generation”. </p> <p> </p> <p> Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, Kamil Samigullin, Mufti of the RT, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Pheophan, and others took part in the event. </p> <p> </p> <p> Today, laying flowers at the monument of the poet Gabdulla Tukay was also held in the square with his name as well as the opening of the building of the Kazan Tatar State Theater of the Young Spectator named after G. Kariev at, Peterburgskaya Street, №55b. </p> <p> </p> <p> The State Award named after G. Tukay exists since 1958 and is awarded to the authors of the most outstanding works of literature and art, which received public recognition and made a significant contribution to the development of national culture, as well as for outstanding scientific research in the field of art and literary criticism. </p>
