The winners of the republican contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler” were awarded in Kazan

Alexander Dubrovsky became “The Legend of Health”, thanks to which a mass physical examination began in Russia for the first time.

(KZN.RU, June 7). Today, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the republican contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechakler” was held in Kazan in the KRK “Pyramid”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Marat Sadykov, the minister of Health of the RT, and others attended the event.

The competition is held for the eleventh time. In different years, its winners were heads of health care institutions, doctors, medical workers, veterans. Annually one of the winners of the competition receives a car as the main prize, it has already become a tradition.

Five nominations are presented in the 2018 competition: “Health Legend”, “Best Primary Care Physician”, “Medical Worker of the Year”, “Unique Case”, and “Doctor of the Year”. There are three candidates in each nomination, except for the “Legend of Health”. In 2018, 152 applications were submitted for participation in the competition.

All candidates are allowed for the final voting by the members of the competition committee. The Public Council at the Ministry of Health of the RT determines the winners by the open voting. An important role in determining the winner was played by Internet voting, which was organized on the official website of the Ministry of Health of the RT.

A concert-theatrical program was prepared for the participants of the event, within the framework of which the winners were awarded.

Marat Sadykov, the minister of Health of the RT, addressed the guests and nominees with a welcoming speech. He awarded Alexander Dubrovsky, the legend of healthcare, thanks to which mass medical examinations of the population began in Russia for the first time.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, especially noted the merits of veterans of the industry in his welcoming speech to the doctors. He said that such a summarizing of the contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler” became a good tradition in the republic. “You are responsible for the health of our citizens, and, perhaps, there is nothing more valuable than health”, said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing representatives of the healthcare sector.

The President of the RT noted that much is being done in the republic to strengthen the material and technical base of health facilities: medical centers are being built, and a lot of work is being done to overhaul primary-purpose facilities. “But the most important thing in this system is you!” said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President of the RT also named the winner in the main nomination of the competition “Doctor of the Year-2018”. It was Reseda Bodrova, physiotherapist of the hospital of war veterans of Kazan, the head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of KSMA. The winner received a statuette of the contest, flowers, and a cash prize of 100000 rubles.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, announced the winners of the “Unique Case” nomination. So, the teamwork of the group of doctors of the Kazan City Clinical Hospital №7, the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center and the Republican Clinical Hospital was recognized as outstanding. They were able to remove the patient's brain tumor, and after that, she became a mother.

“It is a great honor for me to announce the winner and to express my respect on behalf of all residents of the capital of Tatarstan for all that you are doing for the sake of the health of Kazan citizens!” the Mayor of the city noted the work of the doctors. The patient also went to the stage with words of gratitude.

All the nominees received grants for internships in foreign clinics, tablets, and computers, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
