Environmentalists restored the oxygen balance on the Kharovoe Lake in Kazan

The problem of lack of oxygen is especially acute in small closed reservoirs.

(KZN.RU, February 8). Today, an environmental restored the oxygen balance on the Kharovoe Lake in Kazan. Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT and experts of the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the RT drilled holes to saturate the water with oxygen and prevent fish from freezing.

The most difficult time for fish is the period from January to April. The problem of lack of oxygen is especially acute in small closed reservoirs. At first, the fish feel bad, stop feeding and move. Then it moves to the upper layers and stays directly under the ice. Such actions allow preventing this.

Recently, more than 100 holes were drilled on the Verkhny Kazan Lake to saturate the water with oxygen. A similar event is also planned on the Komsomolskoe Lake in Derbyshki, reports the press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT.
