An exhibition of Daniel Granin’s books and articles will open in Kazan to the 100th anniversary of the writer

Citizens will learn details about the works of the writer in the National Library of the RT.

(KZN.RU, January 10). An exhibition “Fate Gave Me Long Live...”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Daniil Granin, opened in the National Library of the RT. In addition to books, the exhibition presents articles on the life and work of the writer, materials containing an analysis of his works.

Daniil Granin is a famous Soviet and Russian writer, a screenwriter, a public figure, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, who became a known classic during his lifetime. He is the author of more than 50 books, many of which are represented at the exhibition. “Seekers”, “Going into a Thunderstorm”, “A Strangest Life”, “Bison” and other works that are presented at the exhibition. They describe the life of an ordinary person, the search for their own way. Another important topic in the writer's work was the war, reflected in such works as “Our Commander”, “Clavdia Vilor”, and “My Lieutenant”.

One of the important exhibits of the exhibition is “The Blockade Book”, the release of which became a great event in the life of the country. The book is compiled with the help of still living witnesses of the war, found diaries and letters.

The exhibition will be open until the end of January. You can visit it free of charge from 9 am to 8 pm, Friday is a day off, reports the National Library of the RT.
