The National Unity Day will be celebrated on a grand scale In Kazan

More than 80 events are planned in the municipal cultural institutions.

An extensive program was prepared in Kazan to the Day of National Unity on November 4 and the 26th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the RT, which falls on November 6. Concerts, exhibitions, lectures, and many other events are organized for the citizens.

Ekaterina Akhmetshina, the acting head of the Kazan Department of Culture, reports about it at the Business Monday. The celebration for Kazan citizens will begin today, and more than 80 events are planned for this week in municipal cultural institutions.

On October 30, the Historical Park “Russia is My History” on the territory of the exhibition center “Kazan Fair” marks one year. “On this day, an extensive program with quests, quizzes, draws, photo zones, and gifts, awaits visitors”, said E. Akhmetshina. The admission to the event is free.

On November 1, residents of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts will be able to visit the recreation center “Yunost” where the concert “Day of National Unity, Constitution Day” will take place for them. On the same day, concert programs will be held in Mirny and Otar residential areas in the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts.

On November 4, creative collectives of the S. Said-Galeev House of Culture will perform at the festival “Moya Sudba – Moi Krai Rodnoi” (Rus. “My destiny is my native land”) in the Sovetsky district of Kazan.

On November 9, artists from the Tatar State Drama and Comedy Theater named after K. Tinchurin will perform for residents of the settlements Zalesny, Osinovo, and the RC “Salavat Cupere” in the Cultural Center “Zalesny”.

On November 10 and 11, the Festival of Russian Folk Culture “Kuzminki” will be held in the Lenin House of Culture in the Aviastroitelny district.

This week, more than 20 book exhibitions devoted to the history of the National Unity Day will be organized in Kazan’s libraries. And the National Cultural Center “Kazan” will hold lectures, presentations, and excursions dedicated on history.

A varied program has been prepared in the museums of the city. Thus, on November 4, the All-Russian cultural and educational event “Night of the Arts” will take place at the National Museum of the RT. Visitors will see new creative projects, listen to lectures of cultural figures and performances of musical bands of the city. A folk arts and crafts fair and master classes from the “City of Masters” will also be organized there.

Also on November 4, the guests could get acquainted with the documents, photos and video materials devoted to the Constitution of Tatarstan and the main state symbols of our republic at the Museum of the History of Statehood of Tatarstan in the Kazan Kremlin.

On the same day, a concert program is scheduled at the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil. There will be a gala concert of the National Ethnocultural Festival “Nash Dom – Tatarstan” (Rus. “Our Home, Tatarstan”). The winners of the municipal qualifying rounds of the festival, which took place throughout the country, will perform on the stage.

Festive events will be held in secondary schools, teen clubs, and children's art schools. Students will be shown short films, quizzes, and have class hours.

In November, Tatarstan residents will have four days-off in a row from November 3 to November 6, inclusive.
