(KZN.RU, July 17). Today, the exposition of the Kazan Tea Museum “Tea Road” has been replenished with a collection of traditional Chinese tea. Guests from the People's Republic of China brought to the capital of Tatarstan two boxes of black brick tea with a total weight of 78 kg, which is the national intangible cultural heritage of China.
Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, Yan Longfei, the chairman of the Board of the company that made the tea OOO Trading Company “Yanntun”, Chai Zhengang, a professor of the Tea Science Department of Hunan Agricultural University, and others took part in the tea ceremony.
Welcoming guests from the People's Republic of China, Artur Abdrashitov, the director of development for the ANO “Museum Association “Vershina”, reminded that the tea museum in Kazan opened recently, in December last year. Therefore the collection of real Chinese tea became a valuable acquisition for its exposition. “Our museum today is visited by guests from all over the world. Here, they learn that tea is the drink that began its journey in China and today is distributed in all countries of the world”, said A. Abdrashitov. “Thanks to your gift, museum visitors will be able to learn more about the development of the Great Tea Road that began in China”.
The trading company “Yanntun” from Guangzhou has more than 70 years of history and is a leader in the production of black brick tea. The company created the Chinese Museum of Black Brick Tea, which deeply reflects the richness of China’s geography, history, and culture.
“China is the first country in the world that has discovered tea and to this day loves and appreciates this drink”, said Chai Zhengang, a professor at the Tea Sciences Department. “I am confident that natural Chinese traditional black tea will help us strengthen friendship and support cooperation in various fields”.
Kazan has long friendly relations with the cities of China, noted Daria Sannikova. She reminded that since 2012, the capital of Tatarstan and Guangzhou are twin-cities. “Joint cultural events can serve as an excellent platform for strengthening cooperation and exchange of experience between our cities”, said D. Sannikova and thanked the guests from China for their generous gift.
The participants of the ceremony secured the transfer of tea by signing the documents. After that, the guests had a tour of the museum and organized a tea party with Tatar treats.
