A meeting with the delegation of Turkmenistan takes place at the Executive Committee of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan

The participants got acquainted with the successful experience of implementing the Open Kazan system and implementing the Safe City project

The delegation of Turkmenistan arrived in Kazan on a working visit. The day before, the participants met with the head of the Kazan Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov. At the meeting, representatives of the capital of Tatarstan shared their experience of digitalization of various processes in the field of public utilities, namely, the successful implementation of the Open Kazan system and the Safe City project.

The delegation included Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Turkmenistan Arkadaga Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity Rahimberdi Dzhepbarov, Rector of the University of Engineering Technologies Gurbanmyrat Mezilov, Chairman of Turkmennebit State Concern Guvanch Aghajanov and Third Secretary of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Russia Maral Rustamova.

“We are glad to welcome our friendly country, guests from Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The Consulate General of the country is successfully operating here, and last year an agreement was signed on the twinning of the cities of Kazan and Arkadag. Guests from Turkmenistan are always welcome in the capital of Tatarstan. We have close bilateral ties,”- Rustem Gafarov addressed the delegation.

Tatarstan and Turkmenistan are connected not only by cultural activities, but also by trade and economic cooperation. The trade turnover between the republic and Turkmenistan increased by 13%. “It has even more potential for further growth. And I am sure that the residents of the city will be glad to see a wide range of Turkmen goods in our stores. We have a lot to learn from you, and we will also be happy to share our accumulated experience with you,”- said the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan.

The main purpose of the meeting for the delegation of Turkmenistan is to learn from the experience of Kazan in digitalization of utility systems and implement it in the future in Arkadag.

The Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for the Construction of Arkadag shared that the city uses a rainwater collection system, which allows for more than 50% reduction in water intake from canals. In the future, it is also planned to build a medical cluster in Arkadag in order to develop the pharmaceutical industry.

Deputy Head of the Kazan Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin informed the delegates about the Open Kazan information service, which covers 80% of residential buildings. With the help of the system and its mobile application, residents can get information about water supply, electricity supply, elevator operation, trapping stray animals, etc.

“The system is connected to a single dispatching service, which is located at the civil protection department and accepts applications not only for housing and utilities services, but also for all emergencies related to the safety of citizens,”- Iskander Giniyatullin noted.

The Open Kazan system is also combined with the Safe City project, in which a number of residential buildings were equipped with video surveillance cameras. In coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the executive committee develops the procedure for installing such devices every quarter.
