The work of the city evacuation commission has been discussed at the Kazan Executive Committee

The city has 129 national evacuation points for organized transportation of the population to safe areas in case of emergency.

(KZN.RU, March 14). A meeting of the evacuation commission was held at the Kazan Executive Committee. Ferdinant Timurkhanov, the head of the Civil Protection Directorate, reported on the work of the city evacuation services in 2018.

Last year, the commission paid special attention to checking the readiness of temporary accommodation centers. Demonstration practical classes on the deployment of temporary shelters for the affected population were held at the sites of “Tatneft Arena”, the hotel complex “Novinka”, the hotel complex “Kvart”, the Kazan Powder Plant, the hotel “Gvardeiskaya”.

F. Timurkhanov noted that the main way to protect the population of cities classified as civil defense groups is to conduct evacuation measures to remove the population, material and cultural values and place them in safe areas. To do this, the city has an evacuation commission consisting of 47 people, 4 evacuation commissions of the administrations of Kazan districts, 129 evacuation points, to organize the collection, registration of the population and the organized dispatch to safe areas.

The plan for the evacuation of the population, material and cultural values has also been developed and approved in Kazan. “In the case of an emergency, partial evacuation will take place within 5 days. Carrying out a general evacuation, specialists will be able to evacuate 54.9% of the population of Kazan in 30 hours, which is 682705 people”, reported the speaker.

349 people took part in practical trainings on the organization of national evacuation points. F. Timurkhanov noted good preparation of national evacuation points located at the sites of the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Cultural and Youth Center named after Gaidar, the school №51 and the school №27 of the Vakhitovsky district, the Kazan Medical College.

“In 2018, we continued the joint work of the city evacuation commission and the Housing and Communal Services Committee with management companies, HOA and HBC to plan the evacuation of the non-working population and single pensioners to safe areas in case of emergency”, added F. Timurkhanov. He mentioned the MC “Uyutny Dom”, the VC “Zarechie”, and the MC ZhKKh of the Moskovsky district among the best prepared and organized ones.

In general, the evacuation services of Kazan are ready for the tasks assigned to them. Plans for the evacuation and dispersal of the population, material and cultural values meet the requirements.
