The results of the project “The Blooming Kazan” and the “Flower Festival” were summed up in the City Hall

The winners of five nominations of the festival received prizes of 1 million rubles.

(KZN.RU, October 19, Alena Miroshnichenko). The best compositions of “The Blooming Kazan” and “Flower Festival” were announced in the Kazan City Hall today. For the summer season, city organizations and citizens created flower arrangements at various sites. Residents of Kazan voted for the most beloved objects and compositions. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, awarded the winners today. The winners of the five Flower Festival nominations received prizes of 1 million rubles.

“Thanks to the support of the leadership of our republic, our President Rustam Minnikhanov, in recent years Kazan has made a huge step forward in urban improvement issues. Flower decoration is an important part of this process. This year, the city project “The Blooming Kazan” is 5 years old. All these years you have witnessed how the city flourished with bright colors of millions of flowers every summer. And if we, citizens, gradually get used to it, our guests react very emotionally to the beauty of our streets, the flower decoration of parks, city enterprises, hotels, restaurants, yards and social institutions”, the Mayor said in an address to the participants the ceremony.

The project “Blooming Kazan” was held in the city from May 15 to August 30. This year, the total area of the city’s flower gardens was 58 thousand square meters. These are 12 thousand floral elements, 13 original volumetric flower compositions, created especially on the eve of the World Cup. 352 applications were submitted to the competition, 10957 people gave their votes for the works they liked.

Winners and prize-winners of the action received letters of gratitude from the Mayor of the city and memorable gifts. The OOO “TatarInn” was awarded for the best design of the facade, the OOO “Management Company Uyutny Dom” made the best design of the yard. Best of all, the adjacent territory was issued by the PAO “Kazanorgsintez”. The first place in the nomination for “The Best Design of the Territory Adjacent to an Educational Institution” went to the school №4 of the Kirovsky district. “The most original flower arrangement” was created by the Trust “Gorvodzelenkhoz”.

I. Metshin called the “Flower Festival” the highlight of the “Blooming Kazan”. This year, it is held for the fourth time. Landscape companies, nurseries, housing and utilities, construction complex and citizens created 20 landscape objects on the playground in front of the puppet theater “Ekiyat”. The contestants used not only flowers for their works, but also art objects, buildings, decorative elements. The platform in front of the puppet theater has become a place of attraction for Kazan residents and its guests due to the attractive and comfortable organization of the space, as well as the rich cultural program provided by the project “Cultural Wednesday”.

This year, an important innovation was introduced. For the first place, the participants were awarded a cash prize of 1 million rubles, 750 thousand rubles for the second, and 500 thousand for the third. The People Choice Award was estimated at 500 thousand rubles.

The Mayor separately thanked for the active participation in the festival the OOO “Castorama Russ” for the work “Childhood from Castorama”, as well as the OOO “Ice Master” for their “Flower Glade”.

The winners of the Flower Festival were identified in six nominations.
