Kazan Mayor and Tatarstan Minister of Health discussed the hospital’s results and plans for its development
This year, the City Hospital – 11, located on Maksimova Street, will be renovated. The gynecology department and emergency room will be modernized, new equipment will be installed, which will allow to detect oncological and gynecological diseases at an early stage. This information was announced during the medical council, which was attended by the Tatarstan Minister of Health Marsel Minnullin, and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The medical facility serves 33,000 residents from the Aviastroitelny and Moskovsky city districts. The medical team consists of 82 professionals.
Ramil Gataullin, the head physician of the hospital, reported about the results. He reminded that major repairs were carried out on the third and fourth floors in 2018, the rest of the building also requires renovation.
The chief physician said that in 2023, three diagnostic devices were purchased for an X-ray, mammography, and fluorography. The new equipment allows doctors to detect diseases at an earlier stage.
«The department of neurology in the emergency care unit is being changed. Therefore, we require a CT scanner to examine patients around the clock. We need to renovate the emergency room, including the gynecology department, which is one of the largest in terms of emergency services in Kazan», – said Ramil Gataullin.
The chief physician noted that during the shift, the polyclinic at Maximova Street serves 360 patients. In 2024, a total of 5,909 patients received medical care at the 24/7 hospital, 1,509 were treated in the day hospital, and 2,335 received emergency care. There has also been a decrease in the number of abortion services.
This year, the renovation of the City Hospital – 11 on Maksimova Street will continue.
«We would like to express our gratitude to the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov for renovation and purchasing additional medical equipment. These measures will improve the quality of services and bring our medical facility to a higher level of service», – the Mayor stated.
This year, we will also install equipment to detect diseases at an early stage. A CT scanner will be purchased to diagnose pneumonia and detect oncological diseases. There are plans to purchase laparoscopic stands and video endoscopic equipment. The fiberoptic gastroduodenoscopy device will allow for preventive examinations and early diagnosis of cancer. The equipment in the gynecological department will be updated as well.
The acquisition is part of a three-year medical equipment upgrade program launched by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
