This year, more than 16,500 places are available for children to attend kindergartens in Kazan

<p> In Kazan, enrollment in preschool educational institutions starts on April 1. This year, 16,563 places have been prepared for children to enroll. This was announced by Irek Rizvanov, head of the Kazan Education Department, at a Business Monday meeting. </p> <p> The speaker recalled that since 2014, 98 new kindergartens had been built in Kazan, as well as 79 had been renovated. However, there are still areas where there is a high need for the further development of children's infrastructure. </p> <p> «Let’s hope that the construction pace would remain at the current level. A construction on a new kindergarten with a capacity of 220 children began in the Privolzhsky city district», – the speaker noted. </p> <p> The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin noted that renovation of preschool institutions is taking place alongside with construction. </p> <p> «Dozens of kindergartens require renovation. We hope that, with the support of the federal government and the government of the republic, this issue will be resolved», – said Ilsur Metshin. </p>
