<p> (KZN.RU, August 28). During the WorldSkills Kazan 2019, 2 million 800 thousand passengers used public transport. In the city, 800 buses, 140 trolleybusesб and 106 trams operated on routes. The metro worked in a special mode. Free shuttles were organized to the stadium “Kazan Arena”. </p> <p> </p> <p> During the championship, youth used public transport services the most. 61701 volunteers and accredited people traveled by public transport. </p> <p> </p> <p> The working day for the public transport crews began at 4.30 am. The first passengers were volunteers. Buses delivered them to the railway station “Kazan-1”. Then the volunteers transferred to the exhibition center “Kazan Expo” by train. </p> <p> </p> <p> The crew ended the working day well after midnight. On the day of the closing ceremony of WorldSkills Kazan 2019, the city's public transport worked until 1 am. It was necessary to carry 45 thousand guests and participants to houses and hotels. </p> <p> </p> <p> Over the seven days of the championship, the committee’s hotline received more than a hundred calls. There were no complaints about the operation of public transport, reports the Committee of Transport of Kazan. Public transport worked without flaws. </p> <p> </p> <p> On the eve of the championship, the brand-name clothing of drivers and conductors was updated. The Committee of Transport of Kazan conducted unscheduled inspections with visits to transport enterprises. Together with Rosportebnadzor, committee members checked the sanitary condition of the rolling stock salons. 70 new information boards were installed at public transport stops for the championship of working professions. </p>
