In Kazan, Valery Syutkin, Sergei Bezrukov and Niletto will perform on City Day

On August 30, the capital of Tatarstan will celebrate Republic Day and City Day. The visitors and residents of the city will participate in a large-scale holiday program. “We kindly ask to keep a social distance, take care of yourself and your loved ones. The pandemic has receded, but not gone away, let's take care of each other,”- Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin said at a Business Monday at the Executive Committee.

Festive events are already taking place in the districts of Kazan. So, in the beginning of August, the first Uen fest dedicated to traditional folk games and amusement started in the renovated courtyards and residential areas.

For fans of sports competitions, VI stage of the National sailing league season takes place at the Kazanka River near the Bowl from August 20 to 30. Sports events will continue on the territory of the Aquatic Palace, where the “Tatarstan challenge” republican beach volleyball tournament will be held on the weekend.

On August 29, the main events of the celebration will start with the annual solemn meeting at the Kazan City Hall, where the honorary citizens will be awarded.

From August 29 to 30, the Old Tatar settlement will host the festival of modern Tatar culture Pechen bazaru”. On the morning of August 30, the Kamal theater will host a musical performance “Uynagyz, garmunnar!” Here, at 13.00, the concert program of the open republican festival of the creative working youth “Our time – Beznen zaman” will begin.

At 13.30, a traditional equestrian festival will take place at the Kazan Hippodrome.

The festive motorcycle race “From the Red Kremlin to the White Kremlin” by members of the Harley-Davidson club will end up here.

Festive events will continue at the Kazan Kremlin. Tat Cult Fest, the festival of urban contemporary culture and arts, will start here at 14.00, presenting current trends in the field of culture, history and contemporary art.

Another celebration site is the territory near the Kazan family center. On August 29, the food truck festival will open here. On August 30, “the military service under contract – your choice!” event will take place with an exhibition of military equipment and field kitchen.

The big concert marathon will start at 15.30. The evening concert will be headlined by Ilsia Вadretdinova, Rifat Zaripov, Niletto, Valery Syutkin, the Dabro band, Sergei Bezrukov and the Krestny otez band.

Kazan residents will have an opportunity to listen to music at 19.30 at the Palace of farmers, where the X Classic open-air Opera festival “Kazan autumn” will be held.

The holiday will end with festive fireworks of 300 volleys over the water area of Kazanka at 22.00.
