(KZN.RU, September 20). Kazan citizens can watch the best films of director Alexey German-senior in the CLC Lenin. Retrospective shows in the cinema hall of the renovated cultural and leisure complex will start on September 22 and will be held every Saturday.
The first film to show will be “Hard to Be a God”. The director worked on this film for more than 13 years, but did not finish it. His son Alexei German Jr and wife Svetlana Karmalita did it for him. The plot takes place on a planet where the Middle Ages reign and the Earth Observers are working, who are trying to carefully adjust the course of events. However, after the Black Brotherhood seizes power in Arkanar, the main hero Rumata Estorsky picks up the weapon. The screening starts at 6.30 pm.
On September 29, the documentary film “Workshop” by Sergey Karandashov will be screened at the CLC Lenin cinema. On Saturdays in October, there will be Alexey German-senior films, such as “20 Days Without War”, “Trial on the Road”, “Khrustalyov, My Car”, and “My Friend Ivan Lapshin”.
