In 2025 Kazan will held the World FINA Championship for the second time

<p> (KZN.RU, July 22). In 2025 Kazan will held the World FINA Championship again. 10 years later the tournament will be going back to the capital city of Tatarstan after 2015 championship. This came out recently the day before on the special press-conference in Kwangju. The right of carrying out of tournaments in 2027 was awarded by Budapest. There were 7 candidates for these 2 years at the application campaign stage. </p> <p> In 2025 the existing objects will be used which now constitute a serious basis of sports infrastructure in Kazan. They are «Tatneft-Arena», The Kazan Palace of Water Sports, Student games village, the International exhibition centre «Kazan Expo», and plenty of ponds which are in Kazan, as the Press Office of the Ministry of Sport of Tatarstan informs. </p> <p> According to Vladimir Leonov, the Minister of Sport of Tatarstan, today there are the discussions concerning the main object of forthcoming championship, there are a few arrangement variants. It is expected that the decision will be made in the near future together with FINA. </p> <p> The championship in the Masters category will take place after the end of the main tournament. </p> <p> We will remind, the World FINA Championship under the aegis of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) was held in Kazan from July 24 till August 9, 2015. In the championship the record number of the medal sets was awarded to the contestants – 75. About 2500 athletes from 190 countries took part in the tournament. </p> <p>   </p>
