In 2020 it is planned to put into operation SPS “Zarechnaya” and a production department for the sludge treatment

The General Plan of the city provides for the construction of 176 sewage pumping stations and the reclamation of 90 ha of the sludge pit.

In 2020 it is planned to put into operation two large facilities of the municipal infrastructure in Kazan: SPS "Zarechnaya" and a production department for thermomechanical cleaning of the sludge. The General Plan of the city provides for the construction of 176 sewage pumping stations, including SPS "Perspektivnaya", and the reclamation of 90 hectares of the sludge pit.

Household sewage will be expanded through the construction and reconstruction of 176 sewage pumping stations (SPS) and 1376 km of gravity-flow pipe-lines. SPS "Zarechnaya" is under construction, its design capacity is 20 thousand cubic meters per hour. In addition, for the reliability of the networks of sewerage it is planned to make a construction of SPS "Perspectivnaya" in Novo-Savinovsky district.

In 2020, it is planned to launch a production department for thermomechanical cleaning of sludge MUE "Vodokanal" started the implementation of this project at the beginning of the year. Technology and equipment of this type is used for the first time in Russia. The new facilities will allow a daily processing of 340 tons of sludge with a moisture content of 96%, receiving up to 100 tons of granulated substance after heat recovery. This substance can be used in different spheres of the municipal economy and industry.

At the next stage of the project, it is planned to restore the sludge pit with an area of 90 hectares and its decommissioning. Earlier, the Minister of ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov reported that the sludge pits of biological treatment plants are planned to be reclaimed by 2024. The work will be carried out in the framework of the Federal project "Enhancement of the Volga" a national project "Ecology".

Besides, it is planned to introduce technologies of deep wastewater treatment at the city biological sewage treatment plants. Local treatment facilities "Krutushka" and industrial enterprises will be transferred to closed premises with cleaning of steam and gas mixture.
