Participants of the search squad “Lisa Alert” will tell Kazan citizens about the mission of volunteering

You can find out about the squad work and sign up for it at a meeting in the Millennium Park.

(KZN.RU, August 31, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Today, activists of the volunteer search squad “Lisa Alert” will tell Kazan citizens about what they are doing, how to train and join the volunteer team in the Millennium Park.

This meeting is an introductory one. Its goal is not so much about recruiting volunteers but about telling the citizens about the essence of volunteerism. “We will tell you what it is that people understand that volunteerism is the norm”, explains Aiguzel Khairieva, the regional coordinator of the squad in Tatarstan. “If our residents learn at least once a week to help any kind of volunteering, as they do it in the US, it will be great”. She explains that now, usually from 4 to 15 people come to search, sometimes up to 30. But volunteers are required by hundreds in order to speed up the search and, possibly, save someone's life.

At a meeting in the Millennium Park, Kazan citizens will be told about what volunteers are doing, how trips and searches for missing people are organized, what knowledge is needed for this. Those who want to join the squad will be able to contact the curators to get into the group for training. The meeting will take place at the fountain, the start is at 7 pm.
