The Dakar Rally winner Ayrat Mardeyev, Silk Road champion Anton Shibalov, European Rally Cross champion Aidar Nuriyev will take part in the competition.
The fourth Phygital Games in racing will be held in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan on March 9 and 10. Eight teams with two pilots each will compete for victory in the competitions at the Trudovye Rezervy stadium.
The Kamaz Master team includes the winner of the 2015 Dakar Rally Ayrat Mardeyev and the Silk Road champion Anton Shibalov, and the Salavat team will be represented by the winner of the Russian Cup in the S1600 class of the Russian ring racing series Rustam Fatkhutdinov with the pilot Yegor Sanin.
Mikhail Simonov, multiple champion in ice racing, paired with Maxim Soldatov will represent the Niracing team. The Namus team includes the winner of the 2019 European Rally Cross Championship, Aidar Nuriyev, and the winner of the Russian Rally Cross Championship, Rasul Minnikhanov.
Phygital racing consists of 5 stages combined into a relay race. At the first stage, the pilots of the teams will compete in ice karting. While their teammates will compete in a Lada Kalina NFR R1 Assetto Corsa simulator, after which they will show their strength on the karting track. At the fourth stage, an online racing is planned for the first pilots of the teams. The relay race will end with another race on the track for winter karting, the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects reports.
For reference, the Phygital Games are held in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan in preparation for the international project Games of Future 2024. Over 5,000 participants will take part in it. It is expected that up to 150 million people will watch the Games online.
The third Phygital Games in esports challenges were held in February at the IT Park in Kazan. Earlier, two series of games took place in Kazan in Beat Saber, drone racing, football, basketball, hockey, MMA and races in the phygital format were held. In total, 38 teams from 7 countries took part in the competition. 36.5 million people watched the Games.
