In total, the work will be carried out on 84 streets of the city
This summer, 84 streets will be decorated with flowers in the capital of Tatarstan. The decoration will be carried out on an area of 15 thousand square meters. The largest flower beds will be installed at the Kazan Circus (1,200 square meters) and near the Palace of Water Sports on Sibgat Khakima Street (1,000 square meters). Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy head of the Executive Committee, reported on this at the staff meeting.
“In addition to the plants that will be planted by the Gorvodzelenkhoz and the district administrations, another 1,000 flowers will decorate the buildings the city by the owners. Today, the owners carry out the decoration with imagination and soul. I ask the district administrations to support the initiatives of entrepreneurs as much as possible,”- said the head of the executive committee Rustem Gafarov.
He added that residents also contribute to the decoration of the city: “There are more and more flower beds in the yards. We are very grateful to the caring citizens of Kazan for this.”
According to Igor Kulyazhev, traditionally flower beds can be seen on Pushkina st., Lobachevskogo st., Nikolai Yershova st., Sibgat Khakima st., Orenburgsky Tract, Universiade Avenue and other sites.
More than two thousand flower pots will be installed on 27 sites along the main highways on Kremlevskaya st., Vishnevskogo st., A.Kamaleyeva st., Nikolai Yershova st., Pavlyukhina st., Orenburgsky tract and others. 24,500 ampel petunias will be planted – they will make the usual city panoramas bright.
Another 22 three-dimensional compositions consisting of 68 floral figures will appear near sports venues and along roads in different parts of Kazan.
As noted by Igor Kulyazhev, the proportions of the heights of seedlings, the harmony and the simplicity of care are taken into account when planning compositions. “Certified flower seedlings of 20 species are used for work: begonia, tobacco, dahlias and others. The most popular types of flowers for planting are salvia and petunia,”- the speaker said.
Concluding his speech, Igor Kulyazhev asked Kazan residents to be responsible and react when vandals pull out seedlings or spoil flower beds.
