This is facilitated by events held as part of the national project “Education” and the movement WorldSkills. Tatiana Golikova, the deputy prime minister of the RF, announced this today at a press conference at the exhibition center “Kazan Expo”. A meeting with reporters took place on the verge of the opening of the 45th WorldSkills Championship.
Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the RT, Simon Bartley, the WorldSkills International President, Robert Urazov, the general director of the Union of Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia), attended the press conference.
Tatiana Golikova said that in the coming years, a network of at least 100 centers for advanced vocational training will be created in Russia. It will coordinate work on the professions of the future that are in demand on the Russian labor market. In 14 regions of the country, such centers will be established in 2019.
In addition, it is planned to re-equip 5 thousand workshops by installing new modern equipment there. In the near future, 25 thousand jobs will be modernized in Russia, where 1 million 200 thousand people will be trained.
“In many ways, this modernization is connected with the fact that we are implementing the WorldSkills standards and approaches”, Tatiana Golikova told reporters. “And the WorldSkills movement gives us the opportunity to pursue a flexible labor market policy”.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the RF marked that education is one of the priorities for the country. In the framework of the national project “Education”, subprojects were created in Russia: “Young Professionals”, aimed at supporting secondary education in Russia, “Ticket to the Future”, which helps schoolchildren to master career guidance skills, and others.
