Tatarstan volleyball players in the Russian national team reached the final at the Olympics

The team will play with the winner of the France – Argentina match.

Russian volleyball players have reached the final of the Olympic Games. The semifinal took place this morning – the Russian Olympic Committee team beat the Brazilian team.

Brazilians took advantage in the first set, but the Russian volleyball players were able to turn the tide of the match and won with a final score of 3:1.

For reference, three volleyball players from Tatarstan – Maxim Mikhailov, Artyom Volvich and Valentin Golubev are part of the Russian national team.

The final match will take place on August 7 at 3:15 pm; the Russian team will play with the winner of the France – Argentina match, the Press Office of the Tatarstan Ministry of Sports reports.

Presently, the Russian Olympic Committee team ranks fifth in the overall medal standings. The Russian national team won 15 gold, 21 silver and 19 bronze medals.
