Tatarstan topped the rating of Russian regions for gastronomic tourism

<p> (KZN.RU, October 10). The results of voting for the best tourist destinations on the National Geographic Russia website have been summed up. According to the results in the nomination “Russian Gastronomic Tourism”, the first place was taken by the RT, the tourists gave 40% of votes for it. </p> <p> </p> <p> The agency TourStat analyzed data from the National Geographic Traveler Awards 2018 in the best tourist destinations in Russia. Sakhalin Oblast ranks second in the gastro-tourism nomination with 19% of the votes, Vladimir Oblast takes the third place with 15% of the votes. 11% of the tourists voted for the Yaroslavl Region, 8% for the Krasnodar Territory, and 7% of for the Tver Oblast. </p> <p> </p> <p> Recently, it became known that Kazan, following St. Petersburg and Moscow, entered the top three cities in Russia for traveling in the middle of autumn, as well as the top five most interesting tourist cities in Russia. </p>
