Dances, contests, children's Sabantuy, flash mobs marathon and yoga will be held in Kazan parks on weekends

A program of cultural events within the framework of the summer program “YASNO” was prepared for residents and visitors of the city.

(KZN.RU, June 22). At the weekend cultural events for residents and visitors of the city of different ages and interests will be held in the parks and squares of Kazan. Among other things, everyone could visit the festival of modern choreography in the Aksenov Square, the Day of Yoga in the Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest and the Children's Sabantuy in the park “Kaleidoscope”.

The events prepared within the framework of the summer program “YASNO” are starting today. Thus, there will be a competition for orienteering “Family starts” at 6 pm in the Pobedy Park. A free orientation school will work for beginners at the start. The registration is required for participation.

The central event of the weekend will be the festival of contemporary choreography “Freedom Square”, which will be held on June 23 at 7 pm in the Aksenov Square. The project was initiated by young Kazan choreographers and is intended to introduce participants to the creativity of teams working in the areas of modern and experimental dance. There will be performances of Kazan collectives, choreographic plays within the framework of the festival. A young project from Vologda O'She TheARTe will present the performance “NCP”, and the Chelyabinsk Theater of modern dance will show the play “A Year Without Love”, nominated for the national award “Golden Mask”.

On Saturday, the International Yoga Day will begin in the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest at 10 am. Guests of the holiday could attend free outdoor training, as well as practice yoga on the grass. There will be master classes and performances of Indian dance groups “Urvashi” and “Santosh” at the sites of the forest park. In addition, the organizers have prepared exercises for young visitors to the festival and people of elder age.

On June 23, “Children's Sabantuy” will take place in the park “Kaleidoscope”. A whole city will be built on the territory of the park from the Lego constructor for children. Interactive master classes from the Children's Development Center “Engineers of the Future” and an entertainment program from the children's scientific and entertainment center “Zarnitsa” will be held. The beginning is at 10 am.

Traditionally, there will be sports competitions, master classes and quizzes, as well as the championship in game “Gorodki”at the interactive site “Territory of the Family” in the Gorky Park at 4 pm. It was prepared within the framework of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

On June 24, there will be a tournament on basketball and streetball among men's teams in the Uritsky Park at 11 am. Jazz compositions will be performed by the Chamber Orchestra of the Theater on Bulak at the fountain in the Lyadskoy Garden at 4 pm. And at 7 pm, a master class on contemporary couples dancing West Coast Swing from the studio "VKUS"will be held in the “Chernoe Ozero” within the project “Dance Picnic’, according to the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan.
