Kazan dance groups could take part in the TV project “Folk of Dance”

The winners will join the staging of the world show with the strongest choreographers in the world.

(KZN.RU, March 11). Kazan dance groups are invited to join the project “Folk of Dance”. Each project participant will receive the prestigious title of a member of the UNESCO International Dance Council. The winners will join the staging of the world show with the strongest choreographers in the world.

Within the framework of the project “Folk of Dance”, participants from 25 countries will fight for the title of the best dance group in the world. The project will be held in two nominations: folk dance and folk styling. The main stage of the project will gather 100 dance groups for each age category, which covers dancers from 7 to 30 years. One of them will become a winner in each age and qualification category for participation in the staging of a world show with the strongest choreographers of Russia, USA, Great Britain, and Ireland.

The television project “Folk of Dance” is designed to show that the choreographic culture of any nation is significant not only for a state, but also for the world as a whole. Professionals working in this direction can learn universal techniques of performing skills.

Residents of Tatarstan can pass qualifying round in Almetyevsk from 26 to 29 of April. In addition, qualifying rounds will also be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, and Grozny. Age of participants can vary from 7 to 30 years. Teams must submit two choreographic performances not longer than 8 minutes both in the qualifying rounds.

The semi-finals and the final of the project will be held in Moscow from February 2 to February 5, 2020. It will take place at the site of the cinema complex “GlavKino” and the Concert Hall “Izvestia Hall” with the participation of artistic directors and chief choreographers of the leading state academic folk dance ensembles of Russia, Europe, and the CIS countries, report the organizers. You can learn more detailed information, study the project regulations, and fill in the application form on the official website.
