The National Museum of the RT will show relics related to Leo Tolstoy

An educational program was prepared for the citizens of Kazan on the birthday of the writer.

(KZN.RU, September 4). The 190th birth anniversary of writer Leo Tolstoy will be marked by a series of events in Kazan. The National Museum of the RT invites residents of the city on September 9 to three of them united under the common name “Great Gift for Many Years”.

At noon, the ceremony of laying flowers at the writer's monument will be held on Tolstoy Street, №11a. After half an hour, a walking tour of Tolstoy's places in Kazan with a visit to the Museum and Education Center at the secondary school №39 with an in-depth study of English will take place. At 2 pm, a lecture-display of relics related both to the writer and the Tolstoy family will be in the building of the museum at Kremlevskaya Street, №2, said the organizers.

Meanwhile, the exhibition project “Believe Yourself!” is being realized on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, and the exhibition “Leo Tolstoy and the Islamic World” will open in the Museum of Islamic Culture on September 7. The descendants of the writer will deliver lectures on September 12 at the festival "PRONauka in the KFU”.
