Weekend in Kazan: subbotnik, “Biblio-Night”, and World Earth Day

The portal KZN.RU has prepared a poster for the upcoming eventful weekend.

(KZN.RU, April 19). The upcoming weekend in Kazan promises to be eventful. The citywide subbotnik with environmental master classes and fairs of eco-products, anti-stress meditation, the action “Biblio Night”, fun starts and orienteering competitions, the celebration of World Earth Day, and much more. The portal KZN.RU offers to make a program for the weekend in advance in order to fill them with bright emotions.

Everyone can take part in the 5-kilometer race, regardless of age, gender, or sports training. To get to the list of participants, you need to register on the official website and get a special bar code. If you wish, you can take your pets with you, dogs who will have to cover the entire route, like their owners.

The traditional citywide subbotnik will take place in 8 parks and squares of Kazan: Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest, Pobedy Park, Uritsky, Tinchurin, Kaleidoscope, Chernoe Ozero, Komsomolets, and Belye Tsvety.

Participants of general cleaning will clean parks from debris, wash monuments, children's and sports grounds, small architectural forms, paint fences and benches, take part in planting trees and shrubs.

Separate garbage collection will be organized in the parks, and Kazan citizens will be able to bring used light bulbs and batteries to the park.

The Gorkinsko-Ometievsky Forest will become the site of the Eco-Spring-2019 Central Subbotnik. “Biblio Night” at the National Museum of the RT

The National Museum of the RT will join the All-Russian action “Biblio Night”. Guests will have a rich program with master classes, quests, conversations, and presentations.

Events will take place in the museum from 12 pm to 12 am. The program includes a literary composition of the theater studio Unischool, a competition of readers in the Braille system, a talk-presentation on the work of A. Pushkin, a literary quiz, a musical, quest games and trips, demonstration performances-competitions with swords, and much more.

“Biblio Night” at the Central Library

The Central Library will host a creative meeting with Ilya Slavutsky, an actor of the Kachalovsky Theater and the People's Artist of Tatarstan. The actor will read his favorite poems, talk about his way to an acting career, film roles, answer questions and give advice to those who are going to bond their lives with the theater. At the end of the creative meeting, a reading of poetry and prose will be held, as well as a drawing of tickets to the Kachalovsky Theater.

Children's fun starts

April 21 at 9.30 am

In honor of the opening of the cycling season, all children from 2 to 14 years old are invited to fun starts from the club “Obgonyai-ka” in Gorkinsko-Ometievsky Forest. Participants will ride bicycles along park paths, and will also overcome a special cycling track, the pump-track.

Opening of the observation deck of the Family Center “Kazan”

On Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, the educational quest “The Multi-Colored Planet” will be organized for visitors. In the course of performing tasks, the quest participants will get acquainted with interesting facts about Earth.

April 20 at 10 am, the museum will begin the action “Save the hedgehog” in honor of the holiday. The action will last until May 1. At this time, everyone can bring used energy-saving lamps and batteries to the museum. At 12 pm, everyone will be able to take part in a master class in oil painting, and at 3 pm – on quilling “Planet Earth”.
