<p> A modern football pitch appeared on the territory of Kazan boarding school № 4 for children with disabilities. A football team that successfully participates in Russian competitions plays here. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin visited the school and inspected the results of the work. </p> <p> Kazan boarding school № 4 for children with disabilities has its own football team. In June 2019, the boys together with their physical education teacher and part-time coach Ildar Sabirov, went to Yoshkar-Ola to participate at the III All-Russian summer sports contest among the disabled. There they took the fifth place. While in the autumn, at the Russian football championship among people with cerebral palsy in the city of Tikhvin (Leningrad region) they won silver medals. </p> <p> The boys trained at a small site next to the boarding school. Now there is a new football pitch, equipped out according to all the rules. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin visited the boarding school to check the pitch, and together with the team tested the new football balls. They were also presented to the boarding school by Ilya Wolfson, Tatarstan State Council deputy, Director of the construction company SMU-88. </p> <p> The school educates 190 children with various categories of illness from 12 districts of the republic. Of course, many boys like to play football, the local team was created from students of 8, 9 and 11 grades. Ilsur Metshin visited the new pitch with them, and the young players and the Mayor took turns symbolically hitting the ball. The goal is to hit the bar, the Mayor joked. “Now, due to the pandemic, there are restrictions on staging sports competitions. However, as soon as they are removed, I suggest that we get together and play with the Mayor’s Office team. Split up equally and play with mixed teams,”- he suggested to the players. </p> <p> Then Ilsur Metshin inspected the boarding school building and modern equipment for rehabilitation of children with locomotor impairments. Zulfiya Gabidullina, Director of school, told the Mayor that the duration of study is 12 years here. To date, 24 classes and 21 composition - classes have been completed (children of different years of education are engaged with one teacher during one lesson – ed. note). 53 teachers and 13 medical workers work with them. </p> <p> The boarding school is open around the clock, the daily regime provides training sessions according to the schedule, and in the afternoon – an alternation of medical procedures, extra-curricular activities, self-training, excursions. Forty pupils of the school live permanently in boarding school. All the children have families, which they visit on weekends or holidays. </p> <p> According to the deputy director, pediatrician Elena Gazizova, thanks to the special equipment and devices available here, children in boarding schools have a positive dynamics. During the year, students get courses of massage, paraffin therapy, electro - and drug treatment. </p> <p> The Mayor inspected training and rehabilitation rooms, as well as a bedrooms equipped with showers and toilets. Ilsur Metshin thanked the staff of the boarding school for their work and noted the importance of providing assistance to such facilities. </p> <p>   </p>
