The museum will be located there, and the mauve ringing of bells will return on the upper tier

The Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin will be opened to the public on September 1. After the renovation, one of the main symbols of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan will acquire new functions – a museum and the mauve ringing of bells on the upper tier, the Press Office of the museum-reserve reported.

The museum is dedicated to the history of the tower and the fortification of the fortress. Visitors will be able to find out information about the tower. A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to fortified structures, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On the first floor of the tower there will be a reception, a wardrobe and a luggage storage, on the second – administrative premises. The museum will be located on the third floor of the building, it will be equipped with video projections and information blocks on touch screens. Also, the scarlet illumination of the upper tier will return to the Spasskaya Tower.

Visitors will be received in sessions every 30 minutes. No more than 15 people will be able to stay in the museum at the same time. The duration of each session is about an hour. The schedule of the museum is published at the link.

For reference, the reconstruction of the Spasskaya Tower began in 2022. The first stage was emergency work, after which a large-scale restoration of the interior began.
